If you’re saying something that you think is great, why would you want to do it as a comment on another site anyway?
But I don’t agree. Moreover, not having comments is just an excuse. People like John Gruber and MG don’t want to be caught on mistakes. They don’t want us to suggest other options. They don’t want to listen. They want to have their oneliners and leave. They see the internet as a stage for their success, not as an interactive medium. Their loss.
