The majority of Facebook users dont know about or understand the implications of Facebooks changes to privacy settings, nestled, as they are, in a dedicated section of the site that youd only find if you needed to. The default settings are therefore essential, and the focus of much of the recent fury – with troubling implications for people who had assumed details like sexuality or health would only be shared with their closest friends.
