This is an urgent matter for both newspapers and journalists. People will pay for premium content in the end but news is to stay free. Journalists will outlive traditional media outlets who focus on bringing a finished product to both customers and advertisers.
I believe media companies will be more service driven than product driven in the not so far future. Connecting money with content, not content with paper and therefor money.
